St. Vincent de Paul Energy Assistance - Application Opens 10/4/2023
For over 130 years, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Detroit has heard and responded to the cries of those we serve, regardless of creed, ethnic or social background or gender. All are welcome at our door. Through our unique home visits, we are privileged to see our neighbors in need differently, with our heart, and share the promise of a better tomorrow.
We are able to assist with SER copayments, Affordable Payment Plan enrollments, and some past due energy bill balances. We also partner with you to find ways to ensure you have the resources you need for an energy secure future.
Step 1
Complete Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ State Emergency Relief (SER) assistance and select St. Vincent de Paul Detroit as your referral partner.

Step 3
Complete the St. Vincent de Paul MEAP Energy Security Plan. The MEAP Energy Security Plan will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
